Members of East Rockaway Junior-Senior High School’s Honor Society laced up their sneakers and participated in the Walk-Along for Lupus on Oct. 16 at Eisenhower Park.
Nearly 30 students in grades 7-12 joined the team to walk and collect donations. The group raised approximately $1,100 for the Lupus Alliance of Long Island/Queens, an organization dedicated to finding the cause and cure for lupus. This was the school’s ninth year participating in the walk.
